This introduction is to define the different Coaching Services offered by DS Consulting Club, to eliminate any confusion in the understanding and to define the service the client will be receiving.
DS coaching service is different from DS consulting services. Coaching is also different from DS Mentorship, DS full courses and workshops. As such, we have created this document to define the service, set the expectations and also point out the responsibilities and how the client can make the most of these sessions.
The coaching sessions are designed to coach, advise, inspire and open the horizons of the attendee for one specific topic / challenge / issue per session. Where, based on the client’s chosen topic or challenge, the coach shares insights, know-how and suggests solutions for the client to work on.
Coaching is not a complete, comprehensive class on any given topic. Complete comprehensive classes that delve deep to fully cover a topic from all angles would be courses and training workshops. Coaching is a discussion in which the coach, advises, shares relative knowledge with the client to improve their performance and knowledge about the challenge they are facing or the topic they need to be more versed at.
Every coaching session is tailor designed and conducted to suit the client’s specific business and/or challenges taking into account the client’s current phase of business and abilities. The coaching packages follow the same policy as well. The Packages however are designed as a series, where all sessions and topics are linked together for coherence in performance and maximum impact.
The content of the session/ package is created based on the client’s specific requirements as per the coaching onboarding form the client fills once they purchase the service. As such, the service and all its contents are original, 100% tailor made, and unique to each client and their business. We do not offer one size fits all coaching services.
Once purchased and form filled, our team members or the assigned coach will get in touch with the client to agree on the closest date & time slot for the session. We understand that the clients’ preference is always immediate session, however, it is not always possible. Our coaches have full schedules, and coaching is an in-demand service. As such, the date and time must suit both client and coach and agreed upon by both. Once agreed, the team will schedule the coaching session and send online-meeting invitation links to the client and the coach as agreed.
Each coaching session is typically 1 hour in duration, however, depending on the complexity of the topic discussed a session can be as long as 1.5 hours max.
If the client wishes to explore the topic deeper, they are free to purchase another coaching session or extend the coaching session for 1 more hour. This can be done spontaneously during the session (if the client & coach’s schedules allow it), or the client may agree with the coach on booking another session.
Please note that any extension beyond the original 1.5 hours will be billed as an extra hour, even if it was for any duration less than 60 minutes.
We offer coaching services per session or in packages. The session can be one-on-one or in group.
In this option it is an exclusive session between the client and the coach, no other attendees are present in the session. The coach’s attention is focused on and dedicated to the client alone.
In this option the client may want to purchase a coaching session for their team members to attend together, or for any group they wish to take this session with. There is no limit to the number of attendees that can be included in a Group Session, however in group sessions the discussions are moderated and kept minimal due to the restriction on time. Group sessions are billed per attendee as per the listed price for group sessions.
The client purchasing the group session will be filling the onboarding form and choosing the session’s topic. The content and recommendations of the session will be created based on this form. As such, group sessions may be slightly more generic discussions than one-on-one sessions, which are more focused.
From time to time, DS Consulting Club may list an in-group coaching service open for everyone to purchase a seat. These sessions are more generic, not tailor-designed, however created in a way to tackle a generic challenge faced by most small businesses.
This option is good for a quick learning requirement or to acquire perspective or know-how for tackling one specific challenge. If the client is facing a challenge or has a specific requirement to address, they may want to book one coaching session specifically for that.
The coaching package option is a more impactful option as we get to focus on a whole set of challenges at once and all the topics covered will be linked in the end for a wholesome transformation. All clients who have opted for the 8-session coaching package said it was transformative and had great impact on them and their businesses.
There are many types of coaching objectives out there. For the small business management purpose we focus on the following coaching objectives:
Business coaching sessions are focused on acquiring specific business skills or understanding. The discussions are usually more academic, focusing on a specific area of business. Examples: customer acquisition, brand positioning, B2B sales, inventory management…etc.
In these sessions you will learn skills and will get information on the specific business topic being covered. It will all be delivered based upon your current level of understanding, knowledge and experience. Therefore, if it is totally new to you, you will learn the basics and implementable recommendations based on your current stage. If you have some experience in the area being covered you will receive more in depth knowledge and if you are well experienced the discussion will be more about out of the box approaches, long term strategies, and better practices…etc. As such, business sessions can be revisited at different stages of your operations.
Mindset coaching sessions are focused on exploring how you think, to help you recognize and reframe mental blocks that could be holding you back from achieving your goals. In these sessions we explore misconceptions, attitudes and perceptions that stand in your way and will work on shifting these thought patterns, breaking limiting beliefs, and developing a more productive, growth-oriented mindset.
These sessions help you build mental resilience, enhance self-awareness and develop a success-oriented perspective. In these sessions we also create actionable strategies to align your mindset with your personal or professional goals. You will gain a clearer sense of direction, increased motivation, and the ability to handle setbacks without losing momentum. All of which will leave you empowered and more confident to carry out your current role.
The mindset coaching sessions are highly beneficial for entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and anyone looking to break past mental barriers, improve decision-making, and develop the confidence needed to succeed in their field.
Success coaching is geared towards helping the client adopt a success mindset and set of attitudes. These Sessions are designed to help the client understand what defines success, the key success factors, and how to embrace a success-oriented approach to business.
Success is not only about mindset training but also includes understanding key areas of business management that contribute directly to the success of overall business and operations. Success coaching as such is a mix of mindset and business coaching and as such is best taken as a coaching package instead of per-session in order to achieve best results.
Transformational coaching is mindset coaching with the aim to equip the client with a resilient mindset that ensures they are ready to run their businesses, tackle challenges and question their attitudes to understand their blocks and adopt new attitudes and leadership skills that keep them on their track to success and growth. Unlike mindset coaching, which focuses on the thoughts and attitudes we adopt, transformational coaching focuses on habits, values, and drive. Transformational coaching is highly motivational, trains you in turning visions to achievements. It is more leadership-oriented, and is a challenging journey which when completed is absolutely transformational. Life Changing!
· The online coaching sessions are recorded for note taking purposes, process revisions and quality assurance. No recordings are shared with anyone, not even with the session client.
· We respect your and your business privacy, and the sessions are strictly confidential. No information is shared with anyone outside of our team who are directly involved in the process (read our privacy policy for details).
· In coaching sessions, the coach may share whiteboards, docs, and/or other assets on screen to further explain a point, but these are just for elaboration purposes. The instructor reserves the right to only share these in session, without sending copies of these assets to the client. These assets may be part of a full course material that the coach offers to course participants. Coaching sessions are mainly discussions.
· The Coach may give you exercises to practice after the session. These exercises are usually to train you in the new skills and further cement the work done during the session. Carry out those exercises as instructed for maximum benefit. It is never enough to hear the information; the work needs to be done too to get the results. The coach won’t follow up on the coaching exercises if you book per session, and it is your responsibility to implement what you have learnt.
· At times the coach may share worksheets, instruction sheets and other assets with the client to complete a task or do some practice after the session. These will be sent to the client after the session.
· In coaching services, the coach conducts the session, gives recommendations and may share workouts, however, the work and implementation is on the client. The coach is not responsible to implement any suggested action, restructure, advice into the client’s business. The coach is a guide, not an executive
The Client agrees to carry out the following responsibilities:
· Fill the Coaching Onboarding Form accurately as the sessions will be tailor designed according to the information provided in the form by the Client.
· Attend the coaching sessions on time as per the agreed and booked time slots. If the Client fails to show up, the session will be cancelled without a refund and the client will have to purchase another session.
· Any change to the timing must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Last minute cancellations are non-refundable, and the client will have to purchase a new session instead.
· The client must have access to strong internet connection with sufficient speed during the session.
· The client must have the session from a place where they are uninterrupted and can focus on the session.
· The client must pay attention to the discussion. They must raise any questions they may have regarding the session, its topic, and make it clear to the coach if they do not understand the explanation or argument.
· The client should implement the advice given in the sessions and put them in action if they wish to see results. The coach can discuss, explain, encourage but cannot do the job for the client. It is the Client’s responsibility to make the best use of the information and put it into effect.
· The client must understand that at times the coach may discuss things or point out areas in the Client’s understanding/attitudes that could be holding them back from achieving their goals. The client must understand that it is not personal and should not take it personally; the nature of the relationship requires the coach to point these out for the client’s benefit and objectives.
· The client must understand that the duration of each session is strictly up to 1.5 hours max. A topic may not be fully covered in this duration depending the Client’s grasp of the concepts being discussed, if they feel they need more sessions for this topic or an extension of the duration they may inform the coach and discuss with them if they wish to take it from the remaining package sessions or add on as an extra session.
· The client must fill the evaluation form sent to them after every session, as it allows us to monitor their progress and get their feedback for service development purposes. The evaluation form must be filled accurately and truthfully as it helps the Coach better understand where the Client stands at the end of the session and send them recommendations and / or workouts accordingly.
The Coach agrees to carry out the following responsibilities:
· Be there on time for the sessions
· Be attentive to the Client’s needs and expectations as per the form filled by the Client
· Have tailored discussions, solutions and advice according to the Client’s needs
· Keep the Client’s business objectives in mind when carrying out the session and ensure they are met with the content discussed during the sessions.
· Speak clearly, explain and re-explain if the client faces difficulty grasping the point.
· Keep the discussion professional.
· Advise in the best interest of the client and their business.
· The Parties agree to keep all discussions, agreements, and recommendations confidential unless their disclosure is required according to law.
· All conversations and information under this agreement and during the coaching sessions shall be protected, whereas the coach may share some information, if necessary, only with the client’s permission.
· Disclosing any information for purposes not defined by the agreement and our privacy policy is forbidden unless otherwise agreed upon by the Parties in writing.
· The coach may use parts of the conversation in promotion for promoting their services, however the client will not be quoted or appear in the promotion unless the coach acquires a written approval from the Client.
